Fitness is Fun - Count On It

When my son came home with a low grade on a math assessment I felt sick to my stomach. After so many hours practicing the math facts, exercising his brain and getting passing grades on his basic math facts, I was now alarmed. Did he forget everything he had learned? Why did he get this low grade? Or was he just memorizing for the moment...and the test to get through it?  Was math FUN for him or was it simply a chore to do his math homework?  Kids need to realize the fun in something while practicing it in order to learn and excel, and so do adults.

The beach is a perfect place to get a simple yet effective workout. A fitness routine for our bodies is right there at our feet as we enjoy walking miles in the sand...and then back. Use the warm cross winds as resistance and gently tone your arms. While keeping your arms strong, simply stretch them out to the side and make small circles as you push forward against the wind. Keep doing these arm exercises until you feel a slight burn or the muscle feels tired. Buddy Up with a Personal Fitness Trainer This Summer

Remember during Summer Camp when we had to "buddy up" with someone so we or they did not get lost on the trails, in the lake or left behind at the campfire?
