L-Theanine for Life… a Health Supplement for a Relaxed Life.

I was recently introduced to L-Theanine as a dietary supplement and I want to share some information about this natural supplement.  L-Theanine is an amino acid that is naturally found in black and green tea, and most exclusively in green tea.  Do you know how great you feel after you have finished a cup of green tea? Well, this amino acid, L-Theanine, has the ability to cross the blood- brain barrier and it produces amazing results with respect to mood enhancement and relaxation. L-Theanine is extremely safe and the benefits of this natural health supplement are widespread and amazing.

Recently introduced to the U.S. market, Japan is credited with most of the clinical studies and information there is thus far on L-theanine and research is ongoing.
Through studies it has been learned that this amino acid plays a key role in elevating mood, promoting relaxation, and subduing depression, stress and anxiety. The best thing about this amino acid is that it does not cause drowsiness and it is NATURAL. It works by relaxing the brain and promoting concentration and focus, and even improved learning ability.

Additional research suggests that L-Theanine is a great amino acid to take as a body building supplement because it gives the bodybuilder a relaxed mental state that allows him/her to focus clearly on the exercise efforts and is essential for best athletic performance. So, here we learn that bodybuilding is not just physical --- but clearly mental as well. A perfect balance of both for best health and fitness results.

The recommended dosing for L-Theanine ranges from 50 -200 mg and the effects usually last for 8 -10 hours. Did I mention that there are no withdrawl side effects??

So, find your relaxed state, naturally, at

Good (Bugs) Bacterium for Your Health

 Probiotics = Pro Health

A natural way to combat sickness and boost immunity is to take a dietary supplement such as probiotics on a daily basis. Of course, Probiotics are known for promoting good intestinal health, and they are an excellent defense and combination therapy while taking an antibiotic to preserve the good flora in the stomach. Children benefit greatly from a probiotic regime during a 10 day or 2 week stint on antibiotics for ear infections or for other mild childhood health challenges that require antibiotic therapy. By combining the probiotic therapy with the antibiotic dosing, you may see a decrease in loose stools that usually occur due to compromised intestinal health.

Not only are probiotics good for your intestinal health, but they are also excellent for your overall health and wellness. Because good health begins with the health of our digestive and intestinal health, getting into the habit of taking a probiotic stocked full of GOOD bugs is really wise. There are several kinds and combinations of good bacterium that you can take for digestive health. I recommend one that contains as many millions of good bacterium as possible.

Please take a look at the health supplements we have to offer at www.StylishHealthandFitness.com  for your daily probiotic choice.

A Balanced Workout

Let's face it, there are so many ways to get our bodies fit these days. As a busy working mother, I have found that the most efficient use of my time is a routine that offers a balanced workout. A fitness routine that offers cardio one day, strength training the next, and ending the week with a Pilates class for core strengthening is a perfect way to give attention to the entire body. A Saturday morning Zumba class is an excellent way to bring it all together and a perfect start to a fun weekend. Or, try a Hot Yoga class and sweat out all of the toxins from the week. A balanced fitness workout keeps things interesting and it challenges all the muscle groups in different and unexpected ways. Variety is good and balance is best.
